- Adult Education Group Facilitator
- Description
Hearts & Ears facilitates peer support groups for GLBTQ people with mental health issues or concerns. Groups are safe and confidential, and provide an environment where participants can network and get support. Topics addressed include family issues, coming out issues, interpersonal relationships, managing symptoms of mental illness, and work related issues.
We are currently seeking a qualified individual to teach an Adult Education / G.E.D. Preparation course on Saturdays from 11 am to 12 pm.
- Skills
Ability to empathize, facilitate a group and a strong desire to help others recognize their strengths and feel good about themselves. Must be reliable and responsible. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Fundraising Coordinator
- Description
We are seeking an individual with fundraising experience to coordinate the identification and application for grants and other fundraising opportunities to secure additional funds for the operation of the organization.
- Skills
Ability to commit 5 to 15 hours per week to work in the office. Experience with fundraising and/or grant writing as well as non-profit experience preferred but not required.
- Daytime Receptionist
- Description
We are seeking an individual greet guests to the center, answer phone calls and provide information both in person and over the telephone from 10 am to 2 pm Wednesdays through Saturdays. Light office work may also be required.
- Skills
A commitment to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender mental health issues, experience with community relations, good customer service and communication skills, good phone etiquette.
